Item 23: Wrap-Up/Reflections

The question I wanted to answer the question on "How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?" The thing that has helped me the most was the fact that I do not want to ever stop learning. There was a lot more that I did not know that was out there like Wikis and an online wrod processer. Thank you for the experience.

Item 22: Alternative Blogging

Micro blogging is nifty, it reminds of text messaging on a cell phone.

Item 21: Audio/Video: Video

I kept having problems with downloading a video to be viewed in the blog. I thought MetaCafe was great. I mostly use YouTube. I have have used it to look at videos on Autism, along with old TV shows.

Item 20: Audio/Video - Podcasting

http://www.bloglines.com/myblogs
LISNews - Comments for "Hacking the iPod for Educational Purpose (2)

I thought it was interesting I found one in Florida where you can write to a Librarian, among the different library's in Florida.

Item 18: Online Applications/Tools: Google Docs

Check this out I am typing WHEE!

I think it is a good way to save your document especially when you have no way to save it to a disk or drive.

Item 15: Tagging and Folksonomies - LibraryThing and Goodreads

http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/995776

I used Goodreads. I thought it was great about adding books to my list, keeping track of the books you have already read and those you want to read. Also being able to find other books that might fit into your intrests. I cannot really thing of anything I would do different at this time.

Item 17: Cool Stuff

That's funny I did not think I was a genius. Scrabulous looks like a lot of fun to play on your break or leisure time. WordShooter reminds me of a typing program I once had, to prevent from being attacked from aliens or dinosaurs.

Item 14: Tagging & Folksonomies - Technorati

As for doing a Keyword Search in Technorati for "Learning 2.0" I found each one of the searches to be different. I one I preferred was typing in the Search Bar. The other ones I felt I had to dig a little further.

Item 16: Wikis

WikiBooks and WikiHow were very interesting about looking for information in another way. I see it as a way to share experinces and ideas with people, that know nothing on a patricular subject that can be useful to another, especially if you don't know where to look.

Item 19: Audio/Video - Music and other Audio

I think these are great. I love listening to music. It gives you a range of artist you may not have heared of and allows you to expand your horizons. The audio books are rather interesting. I'm not sure I would say CD's are obselet just yet.

Tagging & Folksonomies - del.icio.us

I think it is wonderful to be able to create bookmarks and accessed from work a friends house especially when you do not remember the website.

Social Networks

What do you think about libraries taking part in social networking sites?
I think it is great because as a whole people are looking for more information on the internet, with the growth of technology.

I decided to answer. What if my library had a MeeboMe widget on their library home page for asking reference questions? I beleive it would be great especially for those who are home bound or unable to come into the library.

More RSS Feeds

I found going to my favorites to be the most helpful in collecting RSS feeds. I had problems accessing Feedster, so i was unable to make a judgment call. Topox.net was great because it gave me more news feeds to look at. Currently I am instrested in news feeds at the moment. The Syndic8.com site was easier because you could see what others are viewing, in turn helping you to add new RSS feeds you did not think off. The Google Blog search was more confusing to me because there were a lot more and reoccurring pages. RSS feeds can be used to deliver notifications to patrons in the library system. Patrons would enjoy receiving new information on a subject, the patron is exploring.

RSS and Bloglines

i found the RSS and Bloglines to be a wonderful addition of being able to have new updates brought to you without going from site to site looking for information. I can use the feeds to get the information I want when I want it.

Item 6: Photos & Images - More Flickr

The Montagr was my favorite because it allowed me to make a mosaics from photos found on Flickr. It reminded me of an art assignment of creating a picture out of various symbols. It was amazing to see how it could look like the real photo.

My thoughts

Learning is very challenging and helpfull at the same time. I hope I can get this.
Beginning with the end in mind and PLAY will be the easiest for me, well because PLAY is fun to do. Finally there is always a end to everything. The hardest will be to accept responsibility for my learning. I like to PLAY.
